About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where three friends kept arguing about which games were worth reinstalling after a phone wipe. Eventually we got tired of losing those arguments in a chat window and moved everything to a proper site. Now it's a small editorial team that plays, writes, and occasionally disagrees in public.,We don't chase release-day hype. A game gets covered here only after someone on the team has lived with it for a week or two — on commutes, on the couch, on a train with one bar of signal. We care about things reviews often skip: how the controls feel after an hour, whether the game melts your battery, how it handles interruptions when a call comes in.,Our selection is deliberately mixed. We rotate between RPGs, strategy, racing, arcade and quieter casual stuff so the catalogue doesn't turn into one giant pile of match-three clones. If a game is interesting to play or interesting to argue about, it has a shot at a slot here.,Nobody pays us to like anything. When we're wrong, we say so in a follow-up. That's the whole deal.
